GBC's Fry details concept for new Baltimore arena on MPT show

The Greater Baltimore Committee's Don Fry was the featured guest on the December 1 edition of Maryland Public Television's "Your Money and Business" with Jeff Salkin.
Fry, president and CEO of the GBC, discussed the concept for a public-private project to build a new arena, hotel and expanded convention center near Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Under the GBC's plan, construction of a new arena and hotel on Conway Street would be privately funded. A proposed public expansion of the Baltimore Convention Center would be connected to the arena.
The GBC announced the concept last May as part of a three-pronged vision for reinvigorating the Inner Harbor for the next generation. In addition to the arena-convention center project, the GBC is proposing to revitalize Rash Field into a signature waterfront park and develop spectacular nightly water and light shows at the Harbor.
