- GBC names DeMattos, Ferro co-chairs of transportation funding task force
The Greater Baltimore Committee has appointed Joseph DeMattos, Jr., and Anne Ferro to co-chair an independent private-sector task force to study and recommend a long-term plan for adequately funding Maryland’s transportation infrastructure.
- GBC transportation summit speakers call for federal funding overhaul, long-range strategies and goals
Two U.S. Congressional leaders and three expert panelists who participated in the Greater Baltimore Committee’s inaugural Regional Transportation Summit on June 16 advocated for fundamental changes in the way transportation infrastructure is funded in the U.S. and in Maryland.

According to the State Highway Administration’s top bridge expert, Maryland’s highway bridge infrastructure is aging and the cost of repairing or replacing bridges is increasing dramatically.

More than 140 GBC members and guests participated in the 2008 Greater Baltimore Committee Golf Classic at Greystone Golf Club in White Hall, Maryland.
