2022 U.S. News Best Colleges Ranks Several Md. Universities on National List

U.S. News & World Report released its 2022 U.S. News Best Colleges list on September 13, 2021. The rankings evaluate more than 1,400 colleges and universities on up to 17 measures of academic quality.

Several Maryland institutions made the national list, including Greater Baltimore Committee Members Johns Hopkins University (#9 in National Universities and #16 in Best Value Schools), University of Maryland College Park (#59 in National Rankings, #20 for Public Universities and #29th in School for Veterans), UMBC (#162 in National Universities) and Towson University (#196 in National Universities and #99 among Public Universities).

Goucher College ranked #117 for National Liberal Arts Colleges. For Top Regional Universities (North), Loyola University Maryland ranked #4 and McDaniel College made the list at #31. McDaniel was also the #1 Best Value School for the region.

Morgan State University ranked #12 for Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Coppin State University was #36 on the same list.
