Activate program seeks women tech entrepreneurs

The Activate women’s technology entrepreneurship program in Columbia is recruiting for the class of 2014, which begins in February.

Activate is a successful, proven system for starting or growing a technology company. Activate will demonstrate the tools and skills needed to run a successful company, and introduce participants to the funding community, the entrepreneurship network, and the resources needed to build a sustainable, growing company.

The hands-on curriculum includes:

  • Building your network
  • Protecting your intellectual property
  • Identifying high-potential business opportunities
  • Profiling your customers
  • Pricing and sales forecasting
  • Legal considerations
  • Dilutive and non-dilutive capital
  • Presenting your business idea to investors
