Baltimore’s YouthWorks summer jobs program and Greater Baltimore Committee President and CEO Donald C. Fry, chairman of Hire One Youth, the private-sector component of YouthWorks, were recently featured in a CNBC segment tied to summer jobs.

The July 2 CNBC Nightly Business Report highlighted the work of business and community leaders and government officials to successfully place 8,000 Baltimore youths in summer jobs.

In addition to Fry, Tynefa Mason, the GBC’s Hire One Youth summer intern, was also profiled in the CNBC segment.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced at a June 24 news conference that enough funds have been raised and job placements have been found for all 8,000 young people who completed their registration this year.
