BBJ seeking nominations for two awards in 2013

The Baltimore Business Journal looks to recognize individuals who take their tasks to the next level. In the current economy, the way to move a business forward is to think creatively about an approach to business, using the skills available to their best abilities.

The BBJ seeks nominations for two awards they are giving out in 2013: Outstanding Directors Award and BBJ Biz Buzz Awards for best in social media categories.

Outstanding Directors Award

The Baltimore Business Journal is honoring outside directors for exceptional service to their boards and the companies they serve.

The need for high-performing and savvy directors has never been more important than in today’s challenging business climate. The 2013 Outstanding Directors Awards – the BBJ’s inaugural event – will honor those directors of nonprofits, public and private companies who have demonstrated the leadership and skills needed to help guide their business’ success and future.

C-level executives should be the nominators for this prestigious award. Nominations are due by December 18.

BBJ Biz Buzz Awards

Social media is no longer the exception. In business, it’s definitely the norm. The Baltimore Business Journal will recognize the leaders in social media among Greater Baltimore’s businesses and nonprofits.

We’re looking for those individuals and companies who are using Facebook, Twitter, blogging and other social media outlets in innovative ways. Tell us how you use social media to make your business or nonprofit grow and thrive.

Nominations are due by December 21.
