BCCC to host another day-long Disney Institute Workshop, Sept. 21

Baltimore City Community College will host the world renowned Disney Institute for a second day-long workshop benefiting the Baltimore business community, Sept. 21 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Martin’s West, 6817 Dogwood Rd.

Disney will bring its information-packed business training back to Baltimore after the overwhelming success of its first workshop, “Disney’s Approach to Business Excellence,” which BCCC sponsored Aug. 11. That event drew over 300 people from the business and higher education communities.

The Sept. 21 workshop , “Disney’s Approach to Leadership Excellence and People Management,” combines two topics sure to challenge participants to take new looks at how they do business, with the purpose of applying innovative Disney strategies to achieve immediate results inside their organizations.

During the morning session, participants will be privy to strategies Disney leaders have used to align their personal vision with the organization’s vision, including:

  • Understanding the relationship between performance accountability and organizational structure/process.
  • Strategies to keep organizational teams constantly improving and reaching new goals.
  • How to connect with people and sustain long-term leadership success.

In the afternoon, such topics as corporate culture, recruitment and selection, the career management process, organizational communication and viewing your employees as Cast Members will be explored-all with an eye for how each of these dynamics impacts strategic goals.
