In Honor of Veterans Day, you are Invited to a Business Leaders and Employer Summit to Recognize Our Returning Veterans and Service Members
The Maryland National Guard is sponsoring a series of forums for professionals in higher education, business and employment, and behavioral and clinical health. These forums are a part of the Maryland National Guard’s vision for a Maryland that is informed and equipped to support returning soldiers and service members.
In the Business Leaders and Employer Summit, Business Leaders, Human Resources Professionals and Employers will enjoy sessions on:
• Military 101 – What a soldier experiences in the deployment cycle
• Why recruitment of veterans is an outstanding return on investment
• What military skills, knowledge & abilities can be used in your work environment
• Tax savings and paid training for employers
• Tools to retain veterans in the workforce to enhance productivity
When: January 13, 2010, check-in begins at 8 a.m. and the program concludes at 3 p.m.
Where: Towson University, University Union, 3rd Floor
Who Should Attend: Business leaders, public and private sector human resource managers, large and small employers who have an interest in learning about veterans and service members programs and services that will enhance their workforce are invited to attend.
This program is being submitted for 4.5 recertification credit hours through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). Pending approval.
