Celebrate 20 Years of Baseball History at GBC’s Lunch with the Orioles

It is that time of year again. Springtime is approaching, and with it, baseball season. One of the GBC’s most popular events accompanies it: Lunch with the Orioles.

A sold-out event of more than 500 baseball fans attended the 2011 event, dining and chatting with the players and coaches.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of a historic development in baseball history: the construction of Oriole Park at Camden Yards. GBC’s Lunch with the Orioles celebrates almost to the day when, back in 1992, the ballpark, designed by Kansas City architectural firm of Helmuth, Obata & Kassabaum opened, capturing the feel and culture of Baltimore.

Weaving in the B&O Warehouse to provide office space for the Orioles and other companies, construction highlighted Eutaw St. to house memories and honorariums to the legends that have passed through. Oriole Park at Camden Yards has served as the prototype of new ballpark construction throughout the last two decades.

Celebrate the Baltimore Orioles’ ingrained history and the team’s potential in 2012 April 5 at the GBC’s Lunch with the Orioles.
