Chicago Title, one of the nation’s most recognized providers of title insurance, escrow and other services, recently relocated from the building that has bared its name for more than 15 years. In April, Chicago Title moved its Baltimore office from 19 E. Fayette Street to a 6,400 square foot space at 1 North Charles Street.
Terri Harrington, Vice President at MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC, represented the landlord, The Buccini/Pollin Group, in the transaction.
“Just minutes from the Inner Harbor, One North Charles Street is located near abundant parking, public transportation, and both City and State courthouses. It is equipped with a state-of-the-art security system and recently underwent a $5 million renovation,” said Harrington. “Anyone who knows this building will appreciate its new, fresh look, which was a motivating factor for Chicago Title.”
Caribou Coffee is located in the 25-story building contributing to an amenity-rich work environment, including the numerous restaurants located along the historic Charles Street corridor.
Suites from 1,000 to 30,000 square feet are still available at 1 North Charles Street.
Linda Rose, Vice President of Chicago Title Insurance Company sited the need for a fresh start as they combined the commercial operations of Chicago Title, Commonwealth Land Title, and Fidelity National Title as reasons for the move.
“We simply could not be more pleased with our space and the building in general at 1 North Charles Street,” said Rose.
Harrington, along with Orion Realty out of Florida, also recently represented Fidelity National Financial in its search for an office location in Columbia. In the first quarter of 2010, Fidelity leased 7,560 square feet at 9891 Broken Land Parkway.
