CohnReznick LLP, the 11th largest accounting, tax and advisory firm in the United States, announced June 25 they raised $6,000 at their 12th Annual Baltimore Charity Golf Tournament. Proceeds from the event went to INNterim Housing Corporation, a nonprofit organization committed to building pathways to economic independence for women and their families.
CohnReznick hosted the tournament at Rocky Point Golf Course in Essex, Md. on June 5. More than 70 golfers turned out to show their support for the INNterim Housing Corporation. Attendees had the opportunity to bid on an assortment of raffle items and compete in longest drive and closest to the pin contests for men and women.
Currently, INNterim provides 70 percent of the transitional housing for families in Baltimore County and continue to stay focused on rebuilding the livelihood of the women and children served by these programs. The nonprofit works closely with each mother to develop an individualized plan of action to help them acquire the skills and resources needed to successfully transition to independent living.
“CohnReznick is honored to help raise money and heighten awareness of the mission of INNterim Housing Corporation,” said Mary Beth Northwood, co-managing partner of CohnReznick’s Baltimore office. “It was a fantastic day of golf and fun to support an extremely worthy cause that helps so many women and children in our community.”
CohnReznick’s annual Baltimore golf tournament was started more than 10 years ago to help support the children of a CohnReznick employee who had been diagnosed with a rare blood disease. In that tradition, the tournament supports a different charitable organization each year.
About INNterim Housing Corporation
The mission of INNterim Housing Corporation is to provide a supportive and structured residential environment in which homeless mothers can acquire the skills and resources needed to become self-sufficient. In addition to giving families a place to call home for up to two years in the House Program, INNterim offers a Garden’s Program which provides permanent housing for women and children with disabilities. In both programs, staff work closely with the residents to develop a plan for successfully transitioning and adaptability back into the community. Just as importantly, they offer supportive services such as educational and employment assessment to determine if these barriers are making this transition harder to accomplish. INNterim Housing Corporation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
