Courtney Shubert, a recent graduate of Towson University, joined the staff of the Greater Baltimore Committee May 28 as assistant to the director of finance and business services. In her role, she will handle accounting duties and assist the director in her day-to-day tasks.
Shubert graduated from Towson University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance. She was on the dean’s list for three years and earned a 3.6 GPA, placing her in the upper 10 percent of her business class. She was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Towson University Investment Club, which invests $100,000 of Towson University funds for student scholarships.
Shubert actively participated as a member of an Ultimate Frisbee Club and traveled on weekends competing against different schools in tournaments up and down the East Coast. Last summer, she also taught surf and body board lessons to groups of children aged 7 to 14 at a children’s camp in California.
