David Gergen to be featured speaker at 2006 GBC Annual Meeting

David Gergen, editor-at-large for U.S. News and World Report, best-selling author and a former advisor to four U.S. presidents, will be a featured speaker at the 2006 GBC Annual Meeting on May 22 at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel.

Gergen is currently a professor of public service at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and director of its Center for Public Leadership. Over the last three decades, he has served as a White House advisor to Presidents Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Clinton.

In the mid-1980s, Gergen served as editor of the U.S. News and World Report. He has been a member of the Kennedy School faculty since January 1999.

In the fall of 2000, Gergen published “Eyewitness to Power: The Essence of Leadership, Nixon to Clinton,” which ranked on the New York Times best-seller list.
