Donald C. Fry, President & CEO, Greater Baltimore Committee, commended State Comptroller Peter Franchot’s decision to extend the tax filing deadline for business tax payers to June 1.
“Many businesses are in the middle of making key financial decisions as they deal with the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on operations. The move by Comptroller Franchot to extend the tax filing deadline gives businesses breathing room. It’s the right decision at the right time,” said Fry.
Businesses are encouraged to consult soon with their tax advisor to see if they qualify for the extension, Fry said.
