Ellin & Tucker, Chartered is pleased to announce its managing director, Edwin R. Brake, has been elected as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Maryland Zoological Society, Inc.
Established in 1967, the society operates The Maryland Zoo. Founded in 1876, The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is the third oldest zoo in the United States and is internationally known for its contributions in conservation and research. More than 1,500 animals are represented in the zoo’s varied natural habitat exhibits. The Maryland Zoo is host to more than 350,000 guests each year, employs 225 individuals and is supported by 386 volunteers.
“I am extremely proud to chair one of Maryland’s most valuable cultural and regional assets,” Brake said.
