SUMMARY:Industry Spotlight on Sports and Technology
DESCRIPTION:From the stadiums of top professional leagues to the fields where children learn the fundamentals\, new technology and science constantly change the way we experience sports. On November 17\, we’ll explore this evolving frontier with one of the region’s top sports executives. \nJoin UpSurge Baltimore at Spark Flex in the Inner Harbor for our latest industry spotlight event. The evening focuses on professional sports\, tech\, and the opportunities it presents beyond the locker room. \nSig Mejdal\, VP and assistant general manager of the Baltimore Orioles and a recognized expert in sports analytics\, will offer his insights during a fireside chat with Peter Stournaras\, co-head of global equity portfolio management for T. Rowe Price. Mejdal will discuss how his training in mechanical engineering and experience working for NASA informed his career in analytics throughout various MLB teams\, as well as what recent innovations mean for the sport’s future. \nRSVP now for your chance to learn from Mejdal’s over two decades at the forefront of professional baseball’s biggest science-enabled changes\, as well as connect with other innovation ecosystem players working at the intersection of athletics and cutting-edge science.
