DESCRIPTION:Join the Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC) as we convene the business community to discuss Opportunity Zones. This steering committee brings together leaders from across sectors to advance investment strategies\, promote equitable development\, and maximize the impact of Opportunity Zones across the Baltimore region. \nWith the state redesignation process approaching this summer\, this committee is being established to ensure the business community’s voice is at the forefront of policy\, capital alignment\, and project and area identification during Maryland’s Qualified Opportunity Zone (QOZ) redesignation process. The ultimate goal is to maximize the impact of the federal Opportunity Zones incentive to drive meaningful regional growth. \nThis kickoff session will outline our 2026 goals\, define the committee’s core functions\, and establish our strategy for informing the upcoming redesignation process. \nHybrid Participation: \nThis meeting will be held in a hybrid format. Attendees are welcome to join either in person at the GBC office or virtually.
