GBC 2012 Economic Outlook Conference to focus on economic trends, tourism

The president of Wilmington Trust’s highly-ranked investment management firm and two experts in the convention, sports and tourism industry will be the featured speakers at the Greater Baltimore Committee’s Economic Outlook Conference on October 10.

The featured economic forecaster will be R. Samuel Fraundorf, president of Wilmington Trust Investment Management, which boasts the 2010 top-performing world-equity fund and tax-exempt bond fund, as ranked by Barron’s. Fraundorf, who chairs Wilmington Trust’s investment strategy team and has more than 20 years of experience in financial and investment industries, will speak about economic prospects in the upcoming election year.

Tourism and travel industry experts Roger Rickard and Tom Noonan will discuss the current and potential impact of the hospitality industry on Maryland’s economy.

Rickard is a partner at Revent, LLC and founder of Voices in Advocacy. He is recognized as a leading spokesman for the business value and economic significance of the meeting and visitor industries.

Noonan is the president and CEO of Visit Baltimore. Prior to joining Visit Baltimore in 2007, he served as senior VP of Sales and Service for the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau.
