The GBC is launching its first ‘Meet the Moguls’ speaker series September 17, with four GBC member executives discussing development, construction and real estate.

Moderated by GBC President and CEO Donald C. Fry, this is the first of three speaker series events.

The premier event features GBC board member Timothy Regan, president and CEO of The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company; Blake Cordish, vice president of The Cordish Companies; Wayne Lingafelter, president of Corporate Office Properties Trust (COPT) Development and Construction Services, LLC, and executive vice president of Real Estate Investment Trust; and Michael Beatty, president of Beatty Development Group, LLC.

The series will include networking, discussion, Q&A and how the GBC can focus in some of the industries.

Each ‘Meet the Moguls’ event will highlight different industry groups and aims to address the number of jobs and amount of money the industry brings to the region, industry trends in the next 12 to 18 months and issues or concerns the ‘moguls’ are experiencing or foresee in the future.

An October 9 event will focus on higher education and a November 18 event will focus on technology and innovation.
