GBC, Daily Record’s 2006 Bioscience Report profiles a ‘percolating’ region

Bioscience industry growth in Baltimore and Maryland is “beginning to percolate, and others elsewhere are noticing,” reports GBC president Donald C. Fry in the Daily Record’s annual TechLink special section that profiles the state of the region’s growing bioscience business sector.

Published in the Daily Record’s February 24 edition, the section details the work of more than a dozen biotech companies in the region and the efforts of the GBC and other advocates to nurture industry growth. It also reports on key industry issues including funding for stem cell research, financing early-stage and established bioscience companies, conducting bioscience business abroad, and Maryland’s potential for emerging as a center for nanotechnology development.

This is the third consecutive year that the GBC and the Daily Record have partnered to produce this publication. Supporting the development of the bioscience industry in the region is a top priority for the GBC.
