Christopher Simmons to speak at GBC’s Power of Diversity – a Bridging the Gap event

Join the Greater Baltimore Committee for The Power of Diversity – a Bridging the Gap event, an initiative that focuses on minority and women-owned business and the role they play in our regional economy.

The June 8 keynote speaker is Christopher Simmons, former U.S. Chief Diversity Officer of PricewaterhouseCoopers and former Managing Partner of PwC for the Washington, D.C. region, who will speak about the power of diversity.

Simmons is chairman of the membership selection committee for the Executive Leadership Coun­cil, the organization for the highest ranking blacks in corporate America. He has a lifetime of experience navigating and creating diversity in the workplace and the community. Simmons’ diversity perspective is broad, as he has played a leadership role in the diversity efforts of African Americans, Asians, Latinos, GLBT individuals and women.

A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School, Simmons is known for his innovative approaches to difficult situations, his balanced view that every party to a problem has improvements to make and his candid discussion style which enables honest dialogue.
