GBC launches new Bridging the Gap Achievement Awards Web site

The Greater Baltimore Committee has launched a new Web site for its Bridging the Gap Achievement Awards Ceremony on October 8.

The new Web site will be used as a communication tool to inform business, community and political leaders about the annual ceremony honoring businesses in the following categories:

Minority/Women-Owned Business that has demonstrated outstanding achievement
Majority-Owned Business – corporations or individual executives that have shown leadership in the area of inclusive business practices
Partnership or Strategic Alliance that generates new business opportunities for minority or women-owned businesses.
NEW! – Minority Business Champion – individual who has worked tirelessly to advocate for the advancement of minority and women-owned businesses in the Greater Baltimore region

Web site users can easily locate information on topics including last year’s achievement award winners, award nomination requirements, event details, and sponsorship opportunities. A “What’s New” section will provide timely articles and details about successful minority and women-owned business development in the region.

Bridging the Gap is an initiative of the Greater Baltimore Committee, designed to advance the business culture of greater Baltimore by fostering an atmosphere in which majority and minority and women-owned businesses can form mutually beneficial strategic partnerships. The Bridging the Gap initiative strives to provide businesses with the necessary tools and support to develop such collaborations.
