The Greater Baltimore Committee’s enhanced Web site has drawn favorable reviews from a number of members since the Web site was launched on June 1. The new format for the 9-year-old GBC Web site was designed by the ACI Group, a GBC member.
The site boasts a clean, modern design intended to make it easy for members to navigate the content-rich site and quickly find information and news about the GBC, its priorities for strengthening the region’s business climate, its members and its events.
“We are constantly striving to improve our communication to members. The GBC’s website is designed to make information about the GBC and the Baltimore region clear, understandable, and accessible,” said GBC president Donald C. Fry. “We combined feedback from our members with improved use of technology to incorporate many new and user-friendly elements into our site.”
The GBC site, which was launched in 1997, drew more than 2 million hits in the 2005. It includes a wealth of information about news and trends that impact the Baltimore Region’s business climate. Content ranges from a comprehensive home page calendar of upcoming GBC events to all of the major reports and studies issued by the GBC since 1997. The site also features easy links to specialized websites offering details about the GBC’s three top priorities – growing the region’s life sciences industry, developing a fast, easy and reliable regional transit system, and strengthening minority-owned businesses.
