GBC sponsors 2010-2011 Stevenson University Baltimore Speaker Series

The Greater Baltimore Committee is a sponsor of the 2010-11 Baltimore Speaker Series presented by Stevenson University. The Baltimore Speaker Series will begin its fifth season this fall at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

The series will include seven evening performances:

Thomas Friedman, Three-time Pulitzer Prize winning commentator, New York Times columnist and author of The World Is Flat
Elizabeth Gilbert, New York Times bestselling author of Committed and Eat, Pray, Love
Frank Abagnale, the subject of the Spielberg film, Catch Me If You Can
Peggy Noonan, columnist, bestselling author and former presidential speechwriter
• Former president of South Africa and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate F.W. de Klerk
Mark Shields, syndicated columnist and political commentator on The NewsHour With Jim Lehrer
• Former Bush advisor and Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove
• Former Vermont Governor and DNC Chairman Howard Dean

Each lecture will be followed by a question and answer period, offering those in the audience the opportunity for interaction with the speakers. The series is a subscription-only program. Tickets to individual lectures will not be sold. More information about the season is enclosed.
