Thanks to the Greater Baltimore Committee, holiday visitors to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor will experience a new “wow” factor this year — a spectacular nightly light show at the Power Plant.

The free show, which began November 19 and runs through New Year’s Eve, features eye-popping projections on the Power Plant buildings, accompanied by a laser light show, high energy music and fireworks. The show previews the GBC’s concept for a year-round entertainment intended to pump up the “fun” element at the Inner Harbor after dark.

The GBC unveiled its concept last May, proposing a compelling nighttime water and light show, coupled with projections on buildings, LED lights and lasers as part of its proposals for revitalizing the Inner Harbor.

“This holiday season is our opportunity to give residents, visitors, and city leaders a glimpse of what we have in mind for the waterfront at night,” said Donald C. Fry, GBC president and CEO. “The Inner Harbor is our city’s signature venue and it is vitally important to the economy of the city and the region. It’s time to take the waterfront fun to the next level for future generations.”

The holiday light show spectacular, part of the “It’s a Waterfront Life” holiday festivities, currently runs nightly on the hour between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday and between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

The show is made possible by the generous support of the following GBC members:
