GBC’s Fry to speak at Oct. 3 Medical Neighborhood Forum

GBC President and CEO Donald C. Fry will be among featured speakers at the 2014 Mid-Atlantic Medical Neighborhood Forum to be held October 3 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center.

The Medical Neighborhood Forum is part of a national educational process focused on transforming our nation’s health care system away from simply treating disease episodically and toward more comprehensive management of overall patient health.

Elements of such a transformation include helping physicians, health care plans and hospitals to move to electronic medical records connected to an accessible network and to focus more on overall health care quality and measurable results for patient management.

The Medical Neighborhood Forum will feature keynote speaker Dr. Paul Grundy, founder of the Patient Centered Primary Care Collaborative and more than 25 health care treatment and management experts and advocates for a more integrated, patient-centered health care system.
