The Daily Record held its second annual 20 in Their Twenties awards event June 27 at Gertrude’s at The Baltimore Museum of Art. The program celebrates the best and brightest under 30 who may have not earned their first million but whose creativity and spirit are already contributing to a new energy in Maryland.
What the Daily Record had to say about Bruszewski in their 20 in Their Twenties supplement:
Creating new jobs and bringing in additional revenue are just two of the reasons many cite for the need to expand the city’s convention center and build a state-of-the-art arena in downtown. Coordinating and developing the business case in support of those projects is the Greater Baltimore Committee’s Sara Bruszewski.
As director of special projects, the 29-year-old oversees a task force that reviews multiple aspects of the project, including economic impact, a potential timeline for construction, speaking with the media and financing. She is also the researcher and author of the report for the projects.
Bruszewski, who holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Baltimore, also does project management work for the GBC Regional Business Advisory Councils, including the solicitation of sponsorships and recruitment of new business members.
Before taking on her current role in January 2011, Bruszewski served as the GBC’s director of membership and member services for five years.
