Gilbane Receives awards for the Salisbury University Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons and the Johns Hopkins University Technology Ventures & Fast Forward Space projects
Leading global construction and facilities-related services firm, Gilbane Building Company, was recently honored with multiple awards for projects across the state of Maryland. Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Chesapeake Shores Chapter honored Salisbury University Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons with an Excellence in Construction award, as well as the overall 2017 Project of the Year Over $100 Million. In addition, Johns Hopkins University 1812 Ashland Technology Ventures and Fast Forward Space was awarded an Excellence in Construction award and the 2017 Judges Citation. Engineering News Record (ENR) Mid-Atlantic also honored the Technology Ventures and Fast Forward Space with a Merit Award in the small projects under $10 million category.
The ABC Chesapeake Shores’ Excellence in Construction awards recognize outstanding projects that raise the industry standard in workmanship. The ENR Mid-Atlantic awards honor projects that have overcome tremendous challenges, contributed to the industry and the community, demonstrate strong safety records and practices, and display exceptional quality in design and construction. In addition to the Maryland project awards, Gilbane Building Company also received 2017 ENR Mid-Atlantic awards for BASIS Independent McLean in Northern Virginia and the U.S. Diplomacy Center Pavilion in Washington, D.C.
