Harborplace Announces 2010 Holiday Event Schedule

This holiday season come join Harborplace & The Gallery and be a part of their lineup of unique events that have been planned to both engage and entertain Baltimoreans young and old. It’s never too soon to find that perfect gift for someone, and Harborplace & The Gallery has something for everyone.

Santa Arrival
Nov. 19 at 6 p.m.
Harborplace Amphitheater
• Harborplace & The Gallery will welcome Santa this year as he is ushered in by a cast of characters who have shaped the quintessential quirkiness of Charm City.
• Santa’s Baltimore home-away-from-home during the holidays has been transformed with an exciting and environmentally green design.
• Santa’s newly renovated residence features LED lights choreographed to music to create one-of-a-kind light shows.
• After his arrival, Santa’s home can be visited each day through Christmas Eve.
• Light Shows nightly, every half-hour from 6-8 p.m.

Santa’s Place at Harborplace

• Visiting Santa in his home at the Inner Harbor has been a tradition for Baltimore families for years!
• Children of all ages are welcome to come visit Santa to share their holiday wishes.
• A variety of photo packages are available for purchase.

Yuletide Caroling Series

• Local schools and community groups spread holiday cheer with caroling on the 3rd Floor of The Gallery on weekdays.

27th Annual Merry TubaChristmas
Dec. 4
Time: 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Location: Harborplace Amphitheater
• Celebrate the holiday season with one of Baltimore’s most highly anticipated annual events – Merry TubaChristmas!
• Hundreds of festively dressed tuba and euphonium players will assemble at the Harborplace Amphitheater for a special holiday concert.
• Over 200 participating musicians of all ages will come together from the Baltimore metropolitan area as well as surrounding states including Pennsylvania, Delaware and Virginia.

Ports America Chesapeake New Year’s Eve Spectacular
Dec. 31
Time: 9 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.
Location: Harborplace Amphitheater

Extended Holiday Hours
Harborplace & The Gallery will offer extended shopping hours prior to and after the holidays, and will be closed on Thanksgiving (Nov. 25) and Christmas Day.
