Hord Coplan Macht, Inc. (HCM), an architecture and landscape architecture firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Chris Harvey, AIA to director of design.
In his new role, Harvey will continue to lead the firm’s mixed-use studio, where he oversees and manages a variety of projects, while also serving as a firm-wide resource to protect HCM’s mission of design excellence throughout the course of a project.
“Chris’ proven leadership on successful projects across the country makes him an invaluable firm-wide resource,” says HCM senior principal Ed Hord. “As design director, Chris will challenge and inspire our project teams to create exceptional communities in which people can live, work, and play.”
Projects designed under Harvey’s leadership have been published nationally and have received design awards from such prestigious institutions as the American Institute of Architects and the Urban Land Institute. Currently, he serves as a visiting design critic for both the University of Maryland and Morgan State University. He also mentors students in the professional practices program.
