Baltimore-based marketing agency, idfive has expanded to a new location, as a direct result the firm’s strategic growth over the past two years. The interactive advertising and digital media firm moved from its original home at 225 East Redwood Street in Baltimore, to a larger space located in the historic Meadow Mill building, in the city’s Woodberry neighborhood.
After realizing consistent growth over the past two years, and with the hiring of five new employees in the past year, idfive was in need of a larger space. Meadow Mill was ultimately chosen for the firm’s new home after carefully considering the environmental impact and the ability to build unique and healthy workstations for employees. idfive’s new location includes 3,500 square feet of functional space complete with added windows and skylights to increase natural light, while reducing the firm’s energy consumption.
The building’s close proximity to the Light Rail was also a determining factor in the selection of the site, as the firm encourages employees to use public transportation in an effort to be more environmentally friendly. idfive reimburses employees for expenses related to public transportation and estimates that each employee riding the Light Rail to work each day will save an average of $5,876 per year (based on the cost for the average idfive employee to drive to work).
idfive’s new home also features custom built counters, which allow employees the opportunity to stand while working. The workstations were developed in response to growing concerns among medical professionals regarding the danger of prolonged sitting.
