It’s official! Governor issues order for Oct. 17 special session

Governor Martin O’Malley issued an executive order Oct. 12 calling the General Assembly into session October 17 to address Congressional redistricting.

There have been a smattering of news reports citing the governor’s hints he might introduce a “jobs bill” during the special session, but such a bill being introduced is unlikely.  None of the usual groundwork has been laid for jobs legislation, said GBC president and CEO Don Fry.
