Kaiser Permanente-sponsored Inner City Capital Connections program accepting nominations

Inner City Capital Connections (ICCC) is now accepting nominations for its 2020 program. ICCC is returning to Baltimore for the third consecutive year in 2020 with the support of Kaiser Permanente. Baltimore is home to 153 ICCC alumni, and since their participation they have averaged 36% growth in revenue and raised $2.58M in capital.

This tuition-free program designed by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City helps small businesses in under-resourced communities build capacity for sustainable growth. This year’s curriculum is designed to help businesses survive the economic impact of the COVID-19 crisis.

Submit nominations for the program by Tuesday, August 4, 2020.

Nominate with these two easy steps:

  1. Identify and Nominate — Identify business owners you’d like to nominate and submit your nominations to ICCC. Please reference the Program Flyer (Baltimore) and Nominator Process Packet (Baltimore) to review qualification and best practices.Submit nominations via online form here, or input nominations into the Nomination Template here and email it to Anna Marie Cruz at amcruz@icic.org.
  2. Communicate and Follow-Up — After you’ve submitted your nominations, send your nominees an introductory email informing them they’ve been nominated and encouraging them to apply. Business owners are far more likely to apply if they receive communication from you, so we strongly encourage you to reach out to them.ICCC will provide you with the appropriate email template to use. Once you send the email, ICCC will begin following up with your nominees, encouraging them to apply.
