Maryland Works honors nine recipients at the 3rd Annual Employment Awards Program

Maryland Works, Inc., a statewide membership association that advocates for and develops employment and economic opportunities for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment is pleased to announce that nine recipients will be honored at its 3rd Annual Employment Awards Program.

The Employment Awards honors individuals that have achieved their career goals regardless of having a disability, as well as workforce professionals, employers, and community service providers that advocate and expand skills training and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment.

Winners will be honored June 24 at the BWI Airport Marriott Hotel beginning at 11:30 a.m. and concluding at 1:30 p.m.

Categories and winners of the 3rd Annual Employment Awards are:

Employee of the Year
Courice Martin, Building Service Manager, Mill Creek Town Elementary School

Workforce Professional of the Year
Mark Donovan, Vice Chairman, Marriott Foundation for People with Disabilities
George Tilson, Vice President, TransCen, Inc.

Employer of the Year

John Sheehan

Public Policy Champions of the Year
