McDaniel names Northrop Grumman executive to college Board of Trustees

Joseph J. Ensor, vice president and general manager for Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistics/Electronic Systems Sector for Northrop Grumman Corp., was elected to the McDaniel College Board of Trustees Feb. 5 at the business meeting held on the Westminster campus.

Ensor holds executive responsibility for three organizations of Northrop Grumman that are headquartered in Baltimore and represent more than 10,000 people at 17 campuses across the United States.

Previously he served as vice president and general manager of Space and ISR Systems and prior to that as vice president, Combat Avionics, where he had executive responsibility for radar programs on platforms such as F-22, JSF, B1-B and C130 aircraft.

His academic credentials include a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Loyola College and an MBA from the University of Maryland. He also completed the General Manager Program at Harvard Business School as well as the University of Maryland Executive Marketing Strategy Program.

Ensor serves on the board of directors for the Maryland Red Cross. He is also a board member of the Carroll County Public Schools Foundation, a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the University of Maryland, School of Natural and Mathematical Sciences and the University of Denver School of Engineering.

He is a native of Maryland, where he resides with his wife, Linda, and two sons.
