Mindgrub announces 17 new hires

Mindgrub, named one of Baltimore Magazine’s “Best Places to Work,” and Baltimore’s 2015 Tech Company of the Year, has announced that it has made 17 new hires in 2016, bringing its total employee base close to 70.

As part of Mindgrub’s strategic growth initiatives, the technology innovation company has created three new divisions: Business Development, Internal Marketing, and Digital Marketing. These divisions accompany Mindgrub’s existing teams, which include Mobile, Web, Games, Branding, User Experience, Design, and Client Services.

Mindgrub’s Business Development division is strengthened by its new Vice President, Vincent Sharps. With a long, successful career in print/signs & print marketing – the former EVP and Chief Marketing Officer at Sir Speedy BWI Columbia, his strengths in creative & marketing strategy will quickly assimilate into the Mindgrub culture.

“I’m confident the transition will be seamless. Stepping into this fully digital environment was the logical career progression to maximize the use of my particular skillset,” Sharps said. In addition, Mindgrub also welcomes Cullen Newton as Vice President of our New York office.

With a J.D. from Vanderbilt Law and an extensive background in corporate and business development, Cullen brings a unique set of skills to our New York team. Mindgrub hired Eskender McCoy as Sales Support Analyst to support Business Development efforts and streamline processes. Mindgrub’s Internal Marketing division also welcomes Kelly Brown, who brings a background of professional services marketing, marketing automation and analysis to the team as the division’s manager.

“We are stoked for our additions to the Business Development team, and to now have a dedicated Internal Marketing division. These new hires will be key to reach our next revenue milestone of 20 MM,” said Mindgrub CEO and founder, Todd Marks.

Mindgrub’s new Digital Marketing department is being directed by Wade Pupek, previously an independent inbound marketing consultant, who offers an extensive background in marketing automation, CRM and CMS implementations, website design, E-commerce, B2B lead generation, SEO, and PPC campaigns. Mindgrub’s Digital Marketing division has also acquired Digital Marketing Analyst, Meredith Walter, and Associate Creative Copywriter, Morgan Scheuerman.

Mindgrub’s existing divisions got a big boost as well, including an array of Creative Division hires, including website development lead, S teve Morton; website developer, Mimi Kim; design lead, Alex Rennie; and graphic designer, Taylor Kurtz. The Engineering department also added several new Mindgrubbers to its group of more than 30, including web developer, James Corrao; software engineer, Gabriel Snyder; associate software engineer, Leah Conigland; and associate QA tester, Jessica Georg.

To corral all of these new hires, Mindgrub welcomes new Director of Operations, Aaron Bickoff, a Weber Shandwick alum, as well as new Executive Assistant to the CEO, Barb Herndon.

“Hiring Aaron and Barb couldn’t have happened at a better time. We have added a lot of expertise to every division of the company and desperately needed people focused on maximizing everyone’s busy schedules,” said Mindgrub COO, Dan Cohen.
