MTA’s Acting Administrator and CEO Kevin Quinn to speak at GBC’s Newsmaker Breakfast on June 21

Kevin Quinn, Acting Administrator and CEO of the Maryland Transit Administration, will speak at the Greater Baltimore Committee’s June 21 Newsmaker Breakfast, focused on the Maryland Transit Administration’s BaltimoreLink. The event is sold out.

Quinn will focus on the final routes and changes of BaltimoreLink, its implementation and next transit developments for the Baltimore region.

About Kevin Quinn

Kevin Quinn, Jr. has a background in public policy, with more than a decade of experience in the transit and planning industries. In June 2017, he was appointed by Maryland Secretary of Transportation Pete Rahn as the Acting Administrator/CEO of the Maryland Department of Transportation’s Maryland Transit Administration. Prior to that, Quinn served as the Director of Planning and Programming, and BaltimoreLink Implementation Manager for the MTA. In that capacity, he oversaw the divisions of Project Development, Environmental Planning and Capital Programming, including major statewide transit initiatives such as corridor feasibility studies and Bus Rapid Transit projects.

BaltimoreLink is a top-to-bottom overhaul and redesign of MTA’s local and express bus network, implementation of dedicated lanes, transit signal prioritization, a new transfer hub network, rebranding and replacement of 6,000+ transit signs, expanded commuter bus service and new bicycle amenities.

Quinn earned a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University and has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners since 2007.
