Principals in both firms have known each other for many years and have acted as co-counsel on different legal matters. The of counsel relationship will provide structure to the additional services each firm may now offer its clients. Both Niles, Barton & Wilmer and Popham & Andryszak advise a significant number and variety of insurance-related clients in their respective practices.

“Our new relationship will bring additional depth and breadth to our ability to provide lobbying, regulatory and compliance services to our insurance clients,” said Craig Roswell, Managing Partner of Niles, Barton & Wilmer, LLP.

Bryson Popham agreed.

“We will not only have a working relationship with experienced and knowledgeable insurance litigators, we will also be able to offer our clients additional legal services that all businesses need,” Popham said.

While the two firms will continue to operate independently, lawyers from both firms will begin representing selected clients jointly during the Maryland legislative session that begins on January 14, 2015.
