Howard Bank has launched its Second Annual Keep It Local Small Business Contest.  The contest was established in 2019 to find a local small business that goes above and beyond in their community.

This year, Howard Bank is looking for small businesses to nominate themselves for a chance to win $10,000.

Here’s how it works:

Starting Monday, May 4, eligible businesses can nominate themselves by simply filling out the form on Howard Bank’s website, providing the necessary documents along with a compelling, inspiring story about the business, and an explanation about how the business has gone above and beyond for their community. A group of impartial judges will be selecting the Top 15 based on how compelling the nomination is. Nominations will close on Friday, May 15.

The Top 15 businesses will be announced on Monday, June 1 and the first round of voting will be open to the public until Monday, June 8. The Top 5 businesses will advance to the second round of voting beginning on Monday, June 15 and closing on Monday, June 22. The winner of the 2020 Keep It Local contest will be announced on Tuesday, June 30.
