October is Kids’ Month in downtown Baltimore

October is the perfect time for families to visit Downtown Baltimore. Downtown museums and attractions will offer special events, discounts, and more for kids and families throughout the month.

Kids’ Month is organized by Downtown Partnership of Baltimore to better connect families from across the region with Downtown Baltimore’s many educational, cultural and kid-friendly destinations. Kids’ Month features events at the National Aquarium, Port Discovery Children’s Museum, the Walters Art Museum, the B&O Railroad Museum, Lexington Market, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and much more.

The popular Family Toon Day Kids’ Month Event at Port Discovery Children’s Museum will return this year Oct. 9. Toon Day will feature entertainment, activities and the opportunity to meet Bob the Builder and SpongeBob SquarePants.

Visit KidsLoveDowntownBaltimore.com for more information and to download a list of restaurants with menus for kids. For a complete listing of events and specials, view the Kids’ Month flyer. There is even a link to a new interactive map that will help families plan their entire day before heading Downtown. With the new, free and convenient Charm City Circulator, getting around downtown is easier than ever for families.

The International Downtown Association recently recognized Downtown Partnership with an award at the International Downtown Association Annual Meeting for Downtown Baltimore Kids’ Month.

Downtown Partnership of Baltimore is a non-profit corporation creating a more vibrant downtown community for businesses, property owners, residents and employees. Downtown Partnership initiatives increase investment, retain business, solve transportation challenges, improve parks and greenspace, and create workforce development opportunities. For more than 25 years, these programs have been good for downtown and good for Baltimore.
