Power Plant Live! announces the return of “Downtown is Happy”

Power Plant Live! is proud to announce the return of “Downtown is Happy,” a summer-long campaign bringing happy hour back to Downtown Baltimore.

Starting June 3, Power Plant Live! will offer unbeatable drink specials from 4-7 p.m. every Friday night throughout the summer, featuring $1 Miller Lites. Additionally, from 5:30-8 p.m. catch FREE live acoustic performances on the plaza leading up to the FREE Friday Night Live! concert series on the main stage. Featuring the best of national, regional and local artists, this summer’s confirmed acts include Mr. Greengenes and national recording artist Better Than Ezra, to name a few.

“Downtown is Happy” is just one of the special series and events Power Plant Live! is hosting in celebration of the district’s 10 years of operations and grand relaunch. Consistently ranked as one of the most visited attractions in Baltimore and the State of Maryland by the Baltimore Business Journal, Power Plant Live! recently received $10 million worth of renovations and first-class amenities, as well as added exciting new restaurant and nightlife venues including TATU Asian Grill, Baltimore Comedy Factory, PBR Baltimore, Luckie’s Liquors, Leinenkugel’s Beer Garden and Joe Squared, Baltimore’s favorite pizza.

Reed Cordish, vice president of The Cordish Companies expressed his excitement for the “Downtown is Happy” initiative, stating “Our aim is to cultivate a sense of community in downtown Baltimore by providing a first class gathering space.
