R. Christopher Rosenthal, a director in the Forensic and Valuation Services Group at Ellin & Tucker, Chartered, was chosen as a 2009 Unsung Hero Award Recipient at the National Philanthropy Day in Maryland Awards Luncheon held on October 26. Rosenthal was honored for his volunteer work over the past 17 years with the South Baltimore Learning Center.
Rosenthal became involved with the South Baltimore Learning Center as a member of the Board of Directors and progressed to treasurer and then to president. Since 2007, Rosenthal is serving on SBLC’s Advisory Council. While board president, he also served as co-chair of the Capital Campaign Committee, helping to raise more than $2 million for the restoration of the Old South Baltimore Police Station into an award-winning historical building and a registered historical site. This building is now a state-of-the-art adult learning center serving over 800 learners a year.
