September 10 | 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Inner Harbor Amphitheater

Governor Martin O’Malley, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz led a ceremony to honor Maryland’s Olympians, including Michael Phelps. Baltimore School for the Arts, the Towson High School Concert Band, singer Mishael Miller and more were there to celebrate this event.

Olympians David Banks, Farrah Hall, Katie Ledecky, Katie O’Donnell, Scott Parsons, Michael Phelps, Suzanne Stettinus and family representatives for Julie Zetlin arrived at the Inner Harbor via boat and were welcomed by a large crowd next to the Gallery’s Light St. Pavilion.

WBAL-TV’s Mindy Basara emceed the event which introduced remarks from Kamenetz, Mayor Rawlings-Blake and Governor O’Malley. Each Olympian was then presented with a gift bag, which contained momentos from each of the representatives. Phelps said a few words before the conclusion of the event — a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner by Mishael Miller, whose smooth baritone marks the beginning of every Ravens game.
