As 2019 kicks off, the CollegeBound scholarship team is hard at work preparing for the upcoming college scholarship reading season.
Last year, Baltimore City public school students submitted over 10,000 applications to scholarships managed by the CollegeBound Foundation. Thanks to generous help from volunteers, we were able to review applications in a timely manner and connect Baltimore City’s best and brightest students with necessary college funding.
We anticipate an even greater amount of applications to this year’s portfolio of over 200 scholarships and grants valued at close to $3 million.
Will you consider volunteering as a scholarship reader this spring?
Volunteer scholarship readers will be asked to evaluate 20 to 30 applications at their leisure through an online website between March 12 and April 21.
In-person trainings for volunteer scholarship readers will be held at the CollegeBound headquarters in downtown Baltimore between February 25th and March 6th. There will also be two trainings offered via webinar. If you are interested in volunteering, as a new or returning volunteer, please fill out the online form found here.
If you have any questions, please contact CollegeBound Scholarship Associate Adriana Rosas at 410-783-2905 ext. 211.
