The Urban Land Institute’s Baltimore District Council has given its lifetime achievement award to Thomas S. Bozzuto.
Bozzuto, CEO of Greenbelt-based Bozzuto Group, has overseen nearly 50,000 residential units worth nearly $7 billion during his more than 40 years in real estate.
The Greenbelt-based company recently opened its $72 million, 281-unit Union Wharf building in Fells Point; other recent projects include Spinnaker Bay in Harbor East and the Fitzgerald in Mount Vernon.
The company was also identified on July 18 as a partner in a group that has been named one of three finalists competing for the right to redevelop the 66.6-acre former Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington.
Bozzuto will receive the award Oct. 3 at ULI’s WaveMaker awards event. David Cordish, president of the Cordish Cos., received the award in 2012.
