Top General Assembly Leaders to speak at GBC Legislative Forum on January 24

The top leaders from both parties in the Senate of Maryland and the House of Delegates will address Greater Baltimore Committee members at the GBC’s General Assembly Legislative Forum 2011 on January 24 at the Baltimore Convention Center.

The 8 a.m. program will feature a panel discussion among Senate President Thomas V. “Mike” Miller, Senate Minority Leader Allan H. Kittleman, House Speaker Michael Busch, and House Minority Leader Anthony J. O’Donnell. Jeff Salkin, Maryland Public Television’s news anchor and host of “State Circle” will serve as panel moderator.

Panelists will preview key issues facing the 2011 legislative session including the budget deficit, education funding and reform, business taxes, transportation budget cuts and other topics that could surface in the 90-day session that begins on January 12 and ends on April 11.
