Moira Shannon is Operations Manager at the Greater Baltimore Committee, where she oversees daily office operations and provides coordination and logistics support for GBC’s steering committees: the primary vehicles for advancing the organization’s Multi-Year Agenda. She helps ensure staff and committee members have the information, resources, and operational support needed to turn regional priorities into coordinated action.
Shannon brings experience in operations, event management, strategic communications, and process improvement. At GBC, she focuses on creating efficient workflows, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, and delivering a professional, well-organized experience for colleagues and partners. Her work supports both the organization’s day-to-day effectiveness and its capacity to convene business, civic, and institutional leaders around shared goals.
Before joining GBC, Shannon spent nearly four years at Ticketmaster, where she managed ticketing operations for more than 15 venues across North America and supported the setup and execution of hundreds of live events each month. Working closely with venue operators, promoters, and internal teams, she coordinated event configurations, maintained accurate operational records, and resolved complex requirements under demanding timelines. She also played a key role in preparing events for the opening of Acrisure Amphitheater, coordinating ticketing requirements, event builds, and quality assurance.
Previously, Shannon held roles at Kite Hill PR, managing communications and marketing work for clients including BuzzFeed News, Snap Inc., and Merkle. Alongside her client-facing work, she supported office operations, vendor coordination, executive scheduling, and employee engagement. She helped implement the agency’s PR Sprint™ collaboration model and expand Monday.com into a sprint-management platform used across more than 30 client teams, strengthening project visibility, accountability, and coordination. She also led Communications Week programming and event execution, including speaker outreach, promotion, logistics, and on-site delivery in New York and London.
Shannon holds a Master of Arts in Music Business from Berklee College of Music and a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from St. John’s University. A Baltimore native, she returned home after a decade in New York City and is committed to supporting the partnerships that strengthen Baltimore’s business community. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the city’s restaurants, attending concerts, and traveling.
