Join us on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 for GBC’s quarterly All Partner Meeting and a conversation about the future of the Preakness and its potential as a major cultural and economic moment for the Baltimore Region.

GBC President & CEO Mark Anthony Thomas will be joined by Maryland First Lady Dawn Moore and Bill Knauf, President and General Manager of the Maryland Jockey Club, for a discussion on the next chapter of the Preakness, the significant changes underway around the race and Pimlico, and the opportunity to build a larger regional experience around one of Maryland’s most important sporting traditions.

The conversation will explore the broader opportunity for Preakness to drive tourism, business engagement, cultural activity and national visibility, and how the Baltimore Region can take greater advantage of the attention and activity surrounding the race.
